C++ Google Notebook

Update: My original C++ notes were hosted on Google Notebook (which was discontinued by Google). However, I have moved them to Google Docs and embedded them in this post.

Here's my C++ notebook. Initially, the notes were to help out my classmates, but now, I'd decided to share it with the rest of the world.

Although it isn't much at the moment, it will be updated from time to time. Usually, weekly for a time being. I will usually keep notes of some important issues and then post them up on the google notebook.

LifeHack? What is?

Life hack - the term coined by Danny O'Brien at a February 2004 technology conference. I'd only learn of it yesterday, after reading the July 23, 2007 issue of TIME (Asia) magazine. It is a very interesting idea, I must say, for geek or those tech savy people out there, at the very least.

"...life hacks are about getting things done and solving life's problems with modest solutions." - Merlin Mann, 43folders.com

At look into google trends of 'life hack' yields surprising results:
Malaysia tops the regions ranking.
San Francisco comes first at the cities ranking.
While, the Vietnamese leads in the language ranking.

By the way, google trends is a new handy service from google, and we will cover it another day, but for now, let us resume. From the chart, we can see that the term 'life hack' became popular at the 4th quarter of 2004, followed by a period of 'inactivity', then and continue be popular again from around of beginning of 2006 till now (July 2007).

Have you ever read or heard about "7 Habits of Highly Effective People"? If so, then life hacks is about "habits of highly effective geeks", sort of. In a mindmap way of relating it, you could link the word "efficient" & "effective" to "Problem solving" to "Life".

life hack, digital world, productivity, problems, solutions, efficient, effective

"Think of Lifehacker as self-help for geeks." - lifehacker.com

Well, this post serve as a very brief introduction to life hack, as I'm in the process of expanding my knowledge in this area and there you have it. *End*

*Note: I had just surf through the 'Money' section of lifehack.org and find some interesting posts in there, like "27 Personal Finance Tips for Overseas Travel" & "Busting 22 Money Myths". Want some tips on financial freedom? Head over there right now.

100 Years Centenary Badges (Part 1)

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Well, scouting today has been a phenomenon involving people of all ages, since Baden-Powell first started his experimental camp for boys at Brownsea Island in 1907. This year, 2007, was the 100th years of scounting and to celebrate this, the Centenary Badges were released. I happen to have these badges that was sold in different countries, Taiwan, Korea and Malaysia. So, I thought that I would give some thoughts about them.

EVERYTHINGELSE

Why the title 'ocy&everythingelse'? Well, today, my copy of the Trilogy arrived, it looked nice and well designed, although the box is a bit dented. Then, I watched the 'Flourishes 101' section of EVERYTHINGELSE disc, and I must say, I'm impressed. The tutorials, without any explainations , weren't as difficult as I was told, and you could learn all the moves if you are observant enough with the video tutorials as they're for beginners.

Ok now, that didn't explain much, but it serve it's purpose as an introduction. The reason this blog was created was for me to put up stuff about everything else. It's intended for the general readers out there and as a token in admiration of Dan & Dave Bucks' works.

More updates coming soon (Scouting, music, magic, personal life related, etc...). Stay tuned.
